AWARD 2022

The most #IMPACTFUL event of the year took place on December 11 at Artcor Center with major success! During the IarmarEco Christmas Edition Fair, The Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Business AWARD 2022 took place for the first time in Moldova. Social entrepreneurs, non-governmental organizations and businesses with social impact were able to apply to the competition or be nominated by the public to win the award for Social Entrepreneurship!

The organizers of the AWARD 2022 :
Platform for the Development of Social Entrepreneurship (administred by EcoVisio) and East Europe Foundation. 

Visitors enjoyed the festive atmosphere, bought healthy gifts and sweets for their loved ones and participated in workshops on climate change, robotics and more.

The Jury of the Social Entrepreneurship Award has chosen the 9 winners from 21 applicants! Know our winners:

We are happy for all of the winners, and for those who supported the Social Entrepreneurs AWARD and continue to bring #IMPACT to society through its activity. 

We are happy for all the local and social producers who managed to create this wonderful celebration space. Thanks to all volunteers, donors, partners, visitors who celebrated with us the First Christmas Edition of the IarmarEco Fair and the Social Entrepreneurship AWARD.

Social Entrepreneurship is a field of activity, which is a part of the Social Economy, widely spread in Europe. Social Entrepreneurship is economic activity that is created and maintained to solve community and environmental problems and challenges. At the present time in the Republic of Moldova there are 11 classic Social Enterprises and Social Insertion Enterprises and over 50 organizations and companies, which carry out the activity of social entrepreneurship. In the same way, there are classic businesses, which have the mission to create impact more visible. Their founders tend to create positive changes in the community and environment through their business model of entrepreneurship - thus they create Impact through economic activity and do not harm the environment or the community. 

IARMARECO 2022

WINTER EDITION

The Social Entrepreneurship AWARD took place within the IARMARECO fair - 2022, winter edition. This year IarmarEco celebrates 10 years of development and growth of the community of local and responsible consumers and producers. Likewise, IarmarEco producers can be found at the multivendor market-place iarmareco.md. 

At IarmarEco-2022 winter edition, there were 50 local and social producers participated, who created the festive atmosphere and proposed exclusive Christmas products to buyers - from food products for the festive table to clothes and more sustainable and ecological gifts for family and friends.

IarmarEco – 2022 Winter Edition took place at "ArtCor", in Chisinau on December 11.

IarmarEco aims to promote ecological opportunities, social entrepreneurship, social initiatives and a sustainable lifestyle. It is a special combination of the fair, facilitated networking, workshops and interactive presentations / lessons, which makes it a unique event in the landscape of ecology and social activism in Moldova.

About 50 vendors/producers and organizations participated in the Christmas fair. In addition to new meetings, the event also created a space for knowledge and communication between those who love and look forward to IarmarEco every year, but this year - thanks to the celebration of 10 years of its existence - loyal visitors had the opportunity to enjoy IarmarEco from 2 times a year!

🔸 IarmarEco - 2022 had to propose the most diverse types of products, for everyone's tastes and needs:

• vegetarian food, vegetables and fruits grown in Moldova, honey, pistil, oils, desserts, pasta;
• cosmetic and hygiene products - ecological;
• souvenirs and handicrafts, jewelry, toys, gifts;
• purses, clothes, etc.

Each producer contributed to the promotion of local products - from each company/entrepreneur a gift was offered to the buyers selected in the Raffle.

🔸 In addition to the shopping areas, there were also a number of workshops, such as a hand-made workshop for children, robotics and a workshop on practices taken from Berlin to face climate change, living in the urban environment.

🔸A series of social / community initiatives also participated in IarmarEco:

• Carte pentru fapte- an initiative to buy books through good deeds done,
• Asociația Jurnaliștilor de Mediu - an organization that promotes ecology in the media, as well as the creator of a game to inform young people,
• AND A WHOLE COMMUNITY OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS!
